[Solved] Moving on

Hi all,
My wife and children left the family home on saturday to move into their new home.
It was the hardest day of my life dealing with so many emotions.

I am having regular contact with my kids - had them for a sleep over last night and it was great. Very hard this morning dropping them off at school.

I feel lonely, my friend network has virtually disappeared and I have lost confidence to actively go to pubs and try to build new friendships.

Is there anyone out there that lives in the Warwickshire area that fancies a coffee / beer and a chat?

Thanks

Sorry to hear that but the good news is that most of us have all been their .... I remember it and like you felt the hardest day of my life coming back to the empty home (actually literally ) but that was the worse day then every day since then it's improved and I'm a different person as I saw how destructive my last relationship was and the bad points for a long time I was in denial .... I went to the gym every night when my children were taken by their mother, it was a solo affair but did speak with some of the guys their lucky for me my parents are very close so I ended up their for dinner most evenings then bed as shattered ... after 6 months I even joined a dating site which was quite fun ...but an eye opener in it's self and then a year later I met my now wife (at work) give yourself a little time to adjust to the new situation but see it as a turning point you are moving up from ... it gets a lot easier and you really do value your time with your children,

sadly i'm London area so too far away - your doing well the hardest part has past,

Excellent advice from Eric - gym is an excellent place to go as you trim yourself up as well as keeping occupied. Can't speak highly enough of online dating (once you're ready) since I met my wife through one 🙂

Even though this is absolutely [censored] not seeing my girls I'd rather be in my own place playing by my own rules than live with my ex and having to pander to her every whim just to carry on seeing my girls.

I've forced myself to get out and about again meet new people ect it helps but it's a long road, if you do meet other chicks try and not talk about your ex too much I've been making that mistake and they run for the hills, since ive stopped I'm meeting loads more Girls and it actually a laugh.

It so easy to let everything consume you try and take a step back think about yourself more, my brother had exactly the same as you and he couldn't be happier now and his kids are so much more happy too 😉

Slim 🙂
