Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.

Reporting a concern

It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.

The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

Hello

I had a family based arrangement but when I got my train driver licence I received a letter and I was put on CSA.

They calculated my last tax year salary at £30,000 and requested me to pay £200 a month which is a lot less then what I paid privately. I explained I had a pay rise to £70,000 but only had one payslip so far, they said they will look into it next tax year but it also says it should change due to the 25%. If she calls as she knows my new salary will this get backdated. My first pay was £5100 after tax due to the backpay. My normal salary is £3700 after tax when they take out my pension. Will they take this into account at my next yearly review or do one off payments not matter as I’m also expected backpay from 2022 at some point

thank you

Hi.

It's odd that they don't seem bothered. Usually they expect paying parent to inform them if income changed by 25% or more. Suggest you log into online account and report income change.

Also recommend you seek advice from this paying parent group: https://facebook.com/groups/239699060076601/
