Hello, I am new to the forum and wanted to ask if anyone receives child maintenance directly from the ex's Ltd Co and if this is some sort of tax avoidance scheme and how would it be possible to find this out?
Thank you for all your responses.
Hi
I have not heard of this before, but I can't see that it would avoid tax as it would be classed as a benefit in kind, I would have thought. Is this arrangement through CMS or a private arrangement?
hi,
I don't think an ex would pay directly out of their limited company business account, unless CMS did enforcement and taking it directly from their business account. I was paying as a limited company. Every year they review my income from business, and I tell them things like how much money I withdrew from the business, e.g. dividends. then they calculate maintenance based on your salary and/or declared dividends.
