Hi, my 17 year old son started a in house apprenticeship on the 2nd of January which involves no time at college and works 40 hours a week I have informed CMS twice now on there portal and both have been declined due to the fact my sons mother is still claiming child benefits and has asked for a extension on her child benefits which I have read can be up to 12 weeks extra payments, where do I stand with Child maintenance payments am I still required to pay?
hi,
it appears then that child benefit is being claimed fraudulently. I suggest you get in touch with child benefit office/HMRC. they may ask for evidence.
