Hey All,
I take an awful lot from this forum and not able to give much back.... However,
I am a qualified PC & Network Engineer, I have worked in this industry coming on 20 years.
I get called to local PC shops when they get busy (and provided I'm not at work)....
So, If you are somewhat local to Bedfordshire then i'd be happy to try and assist you in your problems.
I can deal with, Windows Xp (and earlier) Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 -- I can also support most Apple devices, Mac Laptops, iPads, Pods and iPhones,.
I have supplier contacts that will supply to me on a trade price basis. So, Hopefully I can pass on any savings on to you.
I AM NOT HERE TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK -- Only want to let you know I am here if you need me.
ALSO
I am by 2nd trade a Caravan engineer.
Not been doing that as long (10 years on and off)
I can advice / help with most repairs and servicing. I own a caravan and have owned one (and more) since passing my driving test at 17!
Again, through experience and different places I've worked. I also have trade access to parts etc..
Anything if I can help, I will gladly advise. Please just PM ME if you need me to do anything.
Hi life
A quick query.
I want to download Microsoft Office and Word on my laptop but I don't want to pay. There are a lot of websites offering them for free but I'm a bit wary. Could you recommend a website that is safe for me to use?
That's very kind of you to offer your services Life.....thanks.
Hi NJ,
The Office package is a chargeable package. Anyone portraying to "give" it away means it's fake.
Obviously due to the nature of my profession I can't recommend downloading it. However,
There are excellent alternatives.
A very good one that we use in an emergency (while we wait for a licence to be bought for office) is called Open Office.
http://www.openoffice.org
It is free and FULLY compatible with the office package. All you need to do is make sure you save your document in the office format in the "save as" area.
I hope this helps
JT
Ah ok ...thanks Life...x
