anyone know how to find your child's learning style? I know I did a questionnaire once - is the same thing for kids?

I echo your question because I don't know how to discover a child's learning style.
Also, I would be interested how young it is possible to get a rough idea of a child's learning style.

I'll have to get back on to you all on this one, I think there is some kind of online test ... Trained teacher here, so know a little bit about learning styles.
If you know roughly how your child learns best, use language that will help them: can you see this? how does this feel ? ...
Will post back when I find a test plus any additional info!!

You can put your childs age in (under 11 is the lowest it goes). I just did it with a 9 year old, and I think it did a pretty good job! It also prints a nice pretty graph for them which obviously appeals to the visual/spatial intelligence!
I'd say your child has to be able to do a a level of self reflection so might need a bit of help, but i had to be careful not to influence their answers.....
Nice tool and at 40 questions pretty quick to complete.

Found that website so accurate, Buzz! I did it myself 🙂 and felt like it was spot on - Spatial/visual, words-oriented, and interpersonal. Exactly me. I'm 28, but if it works for me, should work for children too! Buzz is probably right though - for younger kids, they may need a bit of help with self-reflection.
The Multiple Intelligences quiz is a great way to consider how your child learns [and how you learn!].
The challenge lies in doing something about it to help develop their confidence in learning once you know how they learn. The summary descriptions of what each intelligence means is OK as a start, and there are loads of related websites that begin to explore just what we can actually do. Just a thought, but it's worth considering the similarities/differences between father and child, and reflecting on how this will influence how we learn together...
