Hello all,

I want some advice in regards to a passport matter.

I have seperated from my wife. She left home and since then she has applied to the passport office (PO) to have my childrens passport. The PO confirmed to her that they need a confirmation letter state the passports are lost (she took it when she left).

She has mentioned this in court (Judge Brown - Leicester County Court) and has ordered in the order that I have to been lost by 4pm on 28 September 2012.

I have mentioned to r=the Judge and others many occasions that I have cgrave concerns that if my ex partner has the childrens passports, she will abduct/kidanp children to India. I am scared and worried and I DO NOT want to lose my children.

What can I do? The Judge doesn't seem to be freindly with fathers.

Any help /advice wuld be gratly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Been in the same kinda situ.

We contacted the London consulate (of the country in question: ours was the USA).

You can apply to have a caveat placed on the passport with the passport agency. You will have to supply any copies of court orders. You can also apply to the Indian Consulate. If it's like the American one; I called as no appropriate option to press, got put through to someone who gave me a special consulate ref number. I then emailed with this unique ref number (otherwise they block delete messages without reading!!) with a brief description of what's going on.

If the rules at their consulate the same: Both parents need to attend to apply for a passport (In person) You can warn that someone may present as yourself in your email. You can get the passports surrendered to your Solicitor through the court. I took time, but my step daughters Pport is now with "our "legal team. Should you have representation tell them you want it put into the Court Order that you have concerns about abduction etc.

Our Court Order states a warning to applicant mother NOT to try and apply for a passport and /or take child out of the the country, if she does she will be hunted down and shot!... Only joking.... She will be in violation of the court order and be charged with child abduction!...They take this VERY seriously!

we have had to agree in court that neither parent can take child from the country, so that it is "fair" to both sides.......
