[Solved] Farce II

Went to court this morning thought it was final hearing however it was directions hearing. We where meant to have final hearing 3 months ago but ex said she had hospital appointment and provided doctors note so we didn't go but judge sat in our absence and gave me the contact that I already had. Anyway to get back into the court process 3 months later ....

Went to court today nice and early for 11am hearing , Had a chat with my barrister and he goes off to talk with ex ( she was not using solicitor or barrister but has in the past - she used the PSU ? ). Anyway he came back 10 minutes later and here's what happened.

Ex had told court she had to leave to go to work at 12pm ( I had the children who where being looked after by friend ). Anyway without announcing on the tanoy system she went before the judge by herself. Think he just said we will have to go to final hearing or something and then she left the building, however as she was leaving my barrister managed to get her and go back into to see the judge. She was not happy and said again she wanted to go to work but my barrister managed to say firmly no to her and get her back Into the courtroom

Basically agreed for my barrister to write what's going to happened next that we want a final hearing and some more involvement with CAFCASS todo with one of the children.

So basically didn't even see the ex or the judge. Don't even know what my ex stance is now in relation to the contact that I have with children or the extra contact that I would like with the children.

The farce continues lol

This is different most people want resolution one way or another. Normally courts frown upon the sort behavior described which may help your case.

WOW! -- Seems like somehow your ex tried to dominate the entire situation. Sounds also like the barrister had some kind of control which by the look of things is one thing.

Reading your thread, i too would be confused about where i stood. Perhaps, call the court on Monday and tell them that you don't have a clue what you are meant to do as you did not see a judge and your ex did. Ask them is there were any changes made? The clerks will be able to guide you I'm sure.
