[Solved] gaining PR

I need some help, I have a son born 4 months ago and I have only seen him once when he was born, because of my ex demanding unreasonable ways of contact she eventually just decided I wont be in my sons life, she moved away changed her number and email address, her family are all unwilling to help me.

things I want to achieve
-parental responsibility order
-child arrangement order

my question.
with out any way of contacting my ex how do I apply to the court?
how do I fill out a c2/c4 form with out the address?
can I apply for contact and PR on a c100?

Hi there

You're on the right track, you need to submit form C4,here's a link that explains what s required on the form

http://www.thecustodyminefield.com/flapp/seekandfindorders.html

You would also need to apply for PR using form C1 and form C100 for the Child Arrangements Order. You should be able to apply for them together, but give the court a call and discuss this with them if you are unsure.

All the best.

ive had a look at the c1 from but I don't understand it, it says you should only answer question 7 when applying for PR but Q7 is all about domestic abuse. Are there any booklets that talk through this form, an if I'm filling in a c100 can I not ask for PR in the specific issues part of the form ?

This has come up before, it's badly written. The C1 form can be used for other reasons as well as applying for PR, so what it means is that question 7 should only be answered by people that are using the form to apply for PR.

You could try and use the C100 form to apply for PR...it just depends on the court office, they all seem to work slightly differently. If they ask you to apply for it once the C100 application is underway, you would have to submit form C2 and it would carry another fee, whereas if you submit it at the same time as the C100 you would only pay the one fee. £215.

It might be a good idea to check with the family court you are using, they may have a Personal Support Unit in the building, they will help you with filling in the forms and can sit in court with you to give support.

I've just replied to Mojo's answer on your other post too.

I agree - fill out the C1 or ask on the C100 - the latter might attract a fee if you are asked to submit a separate application.
