Hi,

Anyone else suffer with Hey Fever??

Any great remedies you could recommend?

Both myself and son suffer with our eyes every year, going back about 8-10 years ago I found a stall on a farmers market selling local dried pollen which I used and it pretty much stopped all symptoms but can't seem to find any now.

Hi GTTS

Sympathies, hideous isn't it? Have you got a homeopathic pharmacy or similar in your area? They usually sell things like that, sure you will be able to find it online.

My friend has had good results with this;

Hi,

Did your friend use it for hey fever?

I have looked at this sort of thing but thought to resolve the hey fever symptoms it needed to be local so the pollen content was similar to what was in the air in the local area.

She's just started using it so don't know if it's helped her hay fever. Would make sense to find a local one....Google homeopathy shops in your area as they will sell local pollen, our does 🙂 Ours is a naturopath shop that also sells homeopathic meds.....

I used to suffer from Hay Fever until my DR told me to take antihistamine every day all year round.

Apparently most people wait until they start to get symptoms and then take tablets but if you take a tablet a day all year you'll build up more resistance.

It seems to have worked, I hardly get any symptoms now (maybe 4 or 5 days a year of very minor symptoms and then I take a second tablet).

Another by-product of this is that I haven't really had a cold for two years - again my DR told me a lot of people have an allergy to the cold virus and this causes the symptoms of a cold to be magnified, wasn't convinced that an antihistamine tablet a day would help but as I say have not really had any cold symptoms over that period (both my wife and daughter have lots of times) had minor symptoms but nothing to write home about.

Locally produced honey is supposed to help - for the same reason that it contains local pollen.

Thanks Actd.....:) ...I was going to suggest the same thing as this is a method known
to work for the reason Actd stated.
