I havent been back here for a while but having been watching all the party conference speeches, finally something interesting jumped out at me.
Suzanne Evans, Deputy Chair of UKIP annouced that they would be putting forward a policy of the presumption of shared parenting.
Putting aside what one might think of the party, it was the first time I saw the issue of fathers rights get a mention anywhere and it might be worth watching just where the policy goes.
If anyone is a Twitter user it might be worth asking her for more detail.
Actually rather cheered me up.
Yes, I read that too.
Whilst I agree with you that a political party has taken up the issue, the question of how this is going to
work in practical terms is lingering in my head....for all it takes is one hostile mother/ ex...
Take care
Kirsten
....for all it takes is one hostile mother/ ex...
Surely, an ex wouldn't be hostile............ :boohoo:
No no no...perish the thought of a hostile ex... 😀 😀 😀
Take care
Kirsten
What's a hostile ex??? LOL
I'm going to ask Farage see what his position is on the matter, He's the only politician I actually like he's replied to a few of my messages through his facebook page I absolutely love his rants in the EU meetings makes me roll 🙂
I believe Suzanne Evans is quite easy to get hold of and it appears she has met with F4J according to their Twitter so they must be serious about the policy.
Fingers crossed that something comes of it.
Pfft....they are just right wing Tories IMO....beware the word "presumption"!
Have to agree with you on that NJ, they scare me 😀
13 years of Labour and 5 years of Tories/Lib Dems havent got fathers very far so if Suzanne Evans can further the cause, ill take it, even if UKIP just use their platform to put pressure on the other parties about the issue.
Just read this on FB -
UKIP: like voting for that drunk, racist uncle you meet at the bar at weddings
made me chuckle 😀
Suppose you've got to applaud them for spotting a gap in the market!
They are more Tory than the Tories and where's their manifesto....oh I forgot, they don't have one!
