Is anyone aware of any popular card games which have a good following, together with the opportunity of discussing moves/hints and tips with fellow players, and the opportunity of entering competitions?

not into card games really. but charades is really great. for kids especially.

1) UNO.
2) Blackjack.
3) Solitaire.
4) Matching games.
5) Cards Against Humanity Party game.

We play gin rummy. Combines a little bit of luck and strategy. It's good for older kids/teenagers.
