[Solved] Christmas Family Movies

As a family we have a little tradition of watching a film together every Christmas Eve. We curl up on the sofa as a family, break open the popcorn and Quality Street tin (other tins are available !! 😉 ) and enjoy some time together. It is one of the highlights for me and I love it.

Todate we have watched such classics as Wall:E, Disney Christmas Carol and The Grinch. Anyone got any ideas for a film for this year?

The boys are 6 and 7.

cheers

What ever happened to silent movies on Christmas morning 🙁

Bernard and the Genie was a good one a few years back.

We watch the Muppets Christmas carol putting the tree up - love it!!

As for a great Xmas Eve movie if the kids are old enough - Home Alone

However I read recently that according to the readers of Empire Magazine that the greatest Xmas film of all time is.....

...Die Hard!!!

Die Hard? So the Great Escape has been de-throned 😮

I think it is movies with a relevance to Xmas as Die Hard is set on Xmas eve - I am sure that The Great Escape, The Sound of Music and Spartacus are still all on this Xmas but do not refer to Xmas

Cars 2 is out now. Not a Christmas classic, but my kids will be hoping to see it over Christmas. The Home Alone Movies are always a good bet too! You'll have to tell us what you end up choosing. I like your tradition, by the way!
