Hi Guys I have recently seperated from my partner and both of us have agreed on joint custody of our daughter we both still get on great so there is no hassle there. how do i get the ball rolling and what solicitors deal with this sort of thing in inverness. also can u tell me is it just a case of us attending a meeting together or is a court case needed. and does this cost much money.
any advise would be great

I've just read your post - the CCLC can't give advice as you are in Scotland. Speak to the Scotitish Childrens Law Centre http://www.sclc.org.uk who would assist on the childrens side of things. If you can come to an agreement of everything beforehand, I see no reason why you should not be able to draw up exactly what you want out of the divorce and contact, maintenance etc and either present it to court, or both of you jointly go to a solicitor and ask them to draw up the agreement - the solicitor may need you to sign a something to say that you have waived your rights to independant legal advice - if you can compromise like this, it will save a massive amount of aggravation and a lot of legal fees.
