Hey
Just wondering if anyone can help.
My bfs daughter is 17, meant to be having her from Monday till mid crimbo day but her mother has now said due to the announcement today we can't see her as 2 households can't mix. We're both tier 2, and have been seeing her since lockdown 1 (she banned us from seeing her in lockdown 1 due to her interpretation of the rules). Does anyone have a gov link we can send her to prove that we can keep seeing children as normal? We're finding it hard to find one but he can't bear not seeing his daughter this Christmas when he actually could. They live over 2 hours away so not just "down the road"
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know she's 17 but goes by what mum says so hard for everyone.
It doesn’t apply to children mixing between their parents households mate
“Where parents do not live in the same household, children under 18 can be moved between their parents’ homes.”
Heres info about support bubbles

Childcare
There are several ways that parents and carers can continue to access childcare in Tier 4 areas:
early years settings and childminders remain open, and you can continue to use these settings as normal.
you can access other childcare activities (including wraparound care) where reasonably necessary to enable parents to work, seek work, attend education or training
nannies will be able to continue to provide services, including in the home.
parents are able to form a childcare bubble with one other household for the purposes of informal childcare, where the child is 13 or under.
some households will also be able to benefit from being in a support bubble
Yes absolute nonsense if you are meant to see your child it dont matter if its tier 1 or tier 99 lol.
Dads must see their children unless they have symptoms themselves
Hi there
If you look up the Tier 2 guidance on gov.uk, go to the section called 'Meeting in larger groups'. It states exemptions "for arrangements where children do not live in the same household as both their parents or guardians"
If you read through the Tiers guidance, it mentions many times that they still allow children to move between the parents homes (for ages under 18)
