Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.
Reporting a concern
It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.
The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

Hi all,
I have my appeal tribunal coming up in the next couple of weeks and I’m wanting to know if anyone had been through this / likely outcome?
We have a court order which states I have my daughter 175 days out of the 365 days a year - which to me is near enough 50/50. Due to my working shift patterns it rotates one week I will have her, the other week her mum will and then the final week mum has 4 nights and I have 3.
According to the shared care calculator it does show I will still need to pay maintenance? I am currently down at 3 nights per year. Is this correct?
We both split costs 50/50 for out of school activities.
Hi,
I recommend you join this group for paying parents. Lot of members there have been to tribunals:
Hi James, I too have a hearing coming up and wondered if you could let us know how it went?
