Over 18 Child Maintenance

Hi,

 

My son turned 18 last May, he decided to stay on in sixth form, mainly for sports.

He does only 4 hours approx academic studies, which I believe falls under the ceiling for CM .

His mum is also claiming Child Benefits too.

 

I've spoken to the CMS to no avail, there seems no way to challenge this, if I stop paying of course the weight of the CMS comes my way, but fine for his mum to make fraudulent claims.

 

Any advice is appreciated

hi,

if child benefit office accept his education status, then CMS would expect you to continue paying.

Yes, unfortunately until they review, or are willing to review the proof I've decided that just to pay is the only route.
