[Solved] Track what you drink

Last week our whole household received a letter from the NHS saying we could allow our data to be shared by professionals.
It seems a good Idea.
I registered and logged onto the website and clicked around and added bits like my GP and Dentist.
I also saw there was a place to track your alcohol intake and set a target for drinking (and smoking etc).

Did others receive the same letter...? Was it interesting or useful or....?

hi Mr Orange

We also got that letter, I personally think it's a good thing having recently experienced health care in a different part of the country where they had no access to my history etc. Also following admission via A & E I had travel 80 miles each time to see the consultant as they couldn't refer to my home NHS until all tests had been done (NHS politics I think) 😆

My husband is not so sure it is a good idea - he is afraid of data sharing. ( but he has an IT background , so is probably more aware than I am).

Anything than help maintain a healthy lifestyle has to be good doesn't it ?

Have to admit i binned it outright - seemed like big brother state sharing all my details again.....

Interesting idea to track your intake - but not sure you'd really update it on the way back from the pub.... unless someone creates an iPhone app??? iDrink or iSmoke...... developers you got the idea here!

I seem to recall something like this recently, but I'm sure that I had to opt out if I didn't want it. I'm quite happy with the idea, so did nothing.

Very very rarely drink alcohol.

If I do its probably a bottle of hobgoblin or some other ale but never enough to actually get drunk. I dont like that sort of sickly feel you get when you're drunk, so don't drink enough to feel it. My missus is the same, so we very rarely buy alcohol.
