[Solved] What to ask at School tonight?

I’ve a first meeting with my little ones school this evening….it’s my first official meeting with his teacher trying to get to know what he’s been up to and how is progressing since he started last September.

I’m not really sure what to ask them as he’s only five, I’ve only really managed to get a small list of 3 or 4 questions together and I’m struggling as to really know what to ask as he’s only just started…..

So I’m here picking your brains for any ideas as to what to ask them?

What I’ve got so far is:

• How is he progressing?
• What does the School think to his progression?
• Does he enjoy anything they do in particular….i.e. Reading, Writing, Drawing, Sports etc…
• What have they been teaching him so far and what are they going to be doing over the next few months etc…

Any other ideas?

Hi there

I should think that the teacher will talk to you about how hes settled in, his social interaction with the other children, the things he shows an interest in and an aptitude for. As you say he has only just started so the chat will be more focused on the "settling in" process and how well he is adapting to school life. You could enquire about his attendance.

Generally the teacher will lead the conversation which is quite informal and friendly and any other questions will flow from that.

Just let them know how important his well being is to you and how you really want to work together with them to ensure he has the best start in life.

...and dont forget to let us know how you got on! 🙂
