Is it unusual that the CAFCASS report isn't available to all parties before court because it is sealed - "with sensitive information"?

I have a hearing on wednesday and that was the latest update from cafcass

I think it is unusual but I have heard of it being done if one parents whereabouts need to be kept from the other, there are probably other reasons. I'll try and find out more.

thanks for your help. I know that the other party has made allegations against me (again) so i suspect its the nature of the allegations. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable going in front of a judge and not knowing whats in the court papers

I haven't managed to find out more. If the allegations are against you then you have a right to know what they are in my opinion, I would most certainly ask the judge for disclosure as how can you defend your position if you are kept in the dark.

Did you question CAFCASS about the nature of sensitive information. Have a read of this, particularly the question "What rights do I have to the report?"
