[Solved] Ex wife and partner are asking for father rights

I have been divorced for 5 years, paid child support from day 1 and now my Ex wife and partner are requesting father rights for him. Me and my family have very little contact with the children as they have been brushed in a very intelligent manner ensuring no evidence was left, that nothing was done by her to encourage the children not to see the father, or family.

I'm not sure what this appeal means, what rights and responsibilities I will have...

Some advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi there,

As far as I am aware (for English law anyway) I don't think that your ex's new partner having PR won't effect your rights you will still have the same rights as you did, but he will be able to act on medical issues or schooling issues ect.

If you have little or no contact this may hurt to know he has these rights but it may make the lives of your children better that ge will be able to act in an emergancy.
