[Solved] Making a complaint against cafcass

Has anyone ever made a complaint against cafcass? I am seriously considering it. I had a S7 report that was very biased on the side of mum. Lots of negative comments about me. I want to make a complaint against the reporter who did the S7 report.

Yes complaints have been made against CAFCASS workers. You refer to "negative" comments about yourself but do you consider the statements made either about yourself or the ex untrue?

Yes I do think they are untrue, but unfortunately I have no way of proving it. I know cafcass are there to listen to and protect the children, but when you know the truth and then read what is said, it felt very biased.

If you google CAFCASS. Complaints you should get a link to,the CAFCASS website and the page about how and who to complain to.

Thanks nannyjane. I know the complaints procedure and how to go about it. I was just wondering if anyone has complained before and what was the outcome. And what cafcass did. I have read that cafcass reporters are not held responsible for their reports!!!! Disgusting.
I just felt the reporter was highly biased on the side of the kids mum. I had already told her reporting manager that I did not want her to do the s7 report as I felt she was biased on the side of mum when we visited court last dec for a specific issue order.

Have you had any success? I'm now going through the system a second time for the same child. My experience has been that mother can accuse anything and it is your duty to prove you are "not guilty" of any accusations she makes.

Unfortunately cafcass take easy decisions and advise courts based solely on accusations. Even with empirical evidence to contrary. Nor will cafcass discuss said accusations and evidence.

And in my experience if you raise a complaint directly with them the outcome is even more biased.

Hi

The post you are replying to is a couple of years old - it's worth posting a new topic with your situation and advice you want.
