I am currently paying the mortgage on the family home and my ex partner expects her slice when our childrens residency has been sorted out vi the courts.

My question is;

Can I recoup half of the mortgage payments made since she left back fom her?

Regards,

Dave

Heya Dave 🙂

your equally liable for the mortgage but it doesnt necessarily mean your equally expected to pay your share.

Depends what she is expecting - does she want the house sold?

Less of an issue if your married. What I would say is that the CSA take mortgage payments into account so additional relef may be owed to you.

Hi Boycie,

So they will reduce by the amount I have been paying in terms of her share of the mortgage?

Regards,

Dave
