[Solved] my ex won't let me see my daughter

i recently split with my partner and she will not let me see my daughter,she says she wants no contact with me at all and phoned the police because i sent her a letter asking for some kind of access along with a mothers day card and present for my daughter to give her.i had a phone call from police saying i was not to contact her at al,so what can i do to get to see my 9month old baby girl??????????????????

Sorry but the police are in no position to tell you not to contact her. Unless you have committed a crime and you have bail conditions that stipulate this then you are free to contact her.

I would firstly call the police and ask to speak to the officer's sergeant about this as you have been given the wrong info. I'd avoid contacting your ex directly as it can often make things worse.

By sending a letter you have not committed a crime. Let us know what the police say but failing this you will need to formally go through a solicitor as you'll have to head down the court route.
