Hi
Can someone please advise me,i am currently in a court battle with my ex over our 13 year daughter who currently resides with my ex's old boyfriends parents and has been since she was 1 year old this couple has a residency order for my daughter but my ex now wants her back living with her for which my daughter strongly opposes,i have found out that NYAS have been contacted my daughter via her school email advising her to meet with her mother but she does not want too, also email states not to tell anyone about this email which i think breaches the childrens act also the welfare check list does anyone think i have a strong case against NYAS and my ex final hearing soon lasting for 2 days my daughter is petrified to go back to her mother
Thank You

Hi there 🙂
This must be very distressing for your daughter, shes old enough to know whats going on and she understands the implications. I think she is old enough to have her own solicitor, someone that is her advocate alone. She is also old enough to voice her wishes and have these taken into account by the judge....something her own siolicitor would be able to facilitate.

My advice would be to contact NYAS in the first instance, I have had a quick look at their website and they do have a complaints procedure. There is a freephone number so it might be a good idea for you to give them a call.
