Hi there and welcome 🙂

There are things your son can do. Is he on the Birth Certificate?

Does he have a solicitor and if not, if he's unemployed he needs to get one ASAP as entitlement to Legal Aid finishes on April 1st.

Mediation would be the first step but theres a charge for this unless he is unemployed or on a low income, so it would be advisable to contact the Mediation Service before 1st April too. Heres a link -

www.nfm.org.uk

As the baby is so young any contact would be short to begin with, just an hour or so, and increasing as the baby gets older.

Have a look round the Legal Eagle section theres plenty of info on all aspects of mediation and contact there.
