So after last years miserable season I finally put away the razor blades and really am optimistic for the new season.

Some great additions to our squad and think that we a central defender away from a team that will really challenge for the Champions League - think it will be asking too much to win the league but a top four place is a must.

Think that Suarez will be the star and hope that Downing and Adam will settle in quickly.

So Sunderland up first and hopefully 3 points

Come on you reds

For me Liverpool still need that second striker to bang the goals in, and a very capable right winger as Kuyt and Carroll don't quite score enough for you to break the top 3, top 4 is a possibility depending on Arsenal & Spurs, I think the top 3 are too far ahead for anyone to break that at the moment.

I hope Suarez doesn't get second season syndrome as he was a breath of fresh air when he joined, and I fully expect he'll get a few kicks this season.

Will be interesting to see if Adam & Henderson can fill that void left by the seemingly forever injured Gerrard! I think top 6 for Liverpool at worst is the aim.

Hi Baz

I agree with you about the top 3 but we have to be aiming for the fourth spot as a minimum expectation.

Disagree with you about Carroll and Kuyt as they do score and Kuyt has been a real servant to the club on the right wing but I think we do need a striker who will get 20-30 goals a season and hopefully one of them will step up to the mark.

As for Arsenal - they are selling all their stars and unless Wenger is more of a genius than we give him credit for they will not be in the top 5

Totally agree now, it's between Liverpool and Spurs for fourth unless someone has an out of this world season. Even more so with Wenger eying up Jadson, when Douglas Costa would be the better bet, and Juan Mata, to replace Fabregas & Nasri 😆

Maybe Carroll will prove me wrong, but for me, he needs a few big seasons to justify the price they payed for him on the back of one good half a season in the league. Also at least now Liverpool seemingly have signed a decent left back in Enrique, well when he signs on the dotted line.

Can't see Spurs finishing in the top four - has to be LFC that is the aim this season.

Saw this in the paper this morning, made me laugh.

Tottenham Hotspur's home again against Everton has been called off ecause of the riots in the High Road. According to sources at White Hart Lane, Spurs have signed a new striker this week: Grabatelli!

Big match this weekend against what is left of Arsenal no Fabregas, no Nasri and hopefully no points!!!

Liverpool have to take advantage!!

Or else I will have to suffer amongst may Arsenal fans!

Hmmmm

Thought we had turned a corner but we were poor this weekend even without the sending offs we need to be playing better than that.

Carroll looks like he is struggling for form and we are missing Gerard to grab the game by the wotsits.

Come on Kenny get angry and sort them out!!

Quite lucky to get a result there then huh? Brighton have been on form though, so was never going to be easy.

I thought it was interesting that we played a fairly strong team against Brighton, needed that result to build some confidence

Well another victory on Saturday albeit we seemed to be hanging on - not sure what is happening with Andy Carroll at the moment everyone seems to be having a go at him.

Hope he is strong enough to cope but like many young footballers it can all fall apart very easily - wonder if Kenny is getting someone to look after him (I hope it isn't Steven Gerard!!)
