@NellGC Thanks very much 😀

I'm a father of three boys who I love to bits and try to do as much as I can to help them through their now adult life.

The split from their mum was hard on us all but had to happen nonetheless. Abuse comes in many forms but for me, the main issue was the financial abuse I suffered due to my ex-partner taking out multiple credit cards, loans and finally payday loans. I have a good job but on a monthly basis was poor due to attempting to keep her debt free. It doesn't work and takes a massive tool on self.

So after the split, we agreed a few things and then as soon as I asked for the house to be sold, she went straight to the CMS who were ok to begin with but have since proven to be absolutely inept and clueless. I'll rant about them soon 😀

Hi and welcome.  Thats very sad and must have been very difficult for you.  Hopefully you have the debts straightened out but if you need any help with this then Citizens Advice or a local charity specialising in debt  should be able to help you.  If the abuse is continuing then you might also find a local charity that supports victims of domestic abuse or you could contact Mankind.

Thank you so much for your kind reply. Fortunately, I am no longer in this position with my ex and much of the debt was cleared off in the house sale. I am in contact with the CA regarding the CMS as the CMS seem to be going out of their way to fraudulently extract more money from me due to their ineptness in understanding the difference between Scottish & English education systems and levels plus, they inform me of a situation where I have my youngest staying over 5 nights per month but still won’t reduce the payment even though they informed to the contrary.
