According to the news, The Fatherhood Institute want us to tell them what we think about the changing shape of fatherhood
- Do dads who look after their kids feel as if theyΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’re swimming against the tide?
- Are mums and dads really ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ΓΕprogrammedΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ differently as parents?
- How are employers affected by the changing roles of fathers and mothers?

I was shocked & pleased to hear that both gen X & Y kids (who are now parents) have a totally different way of being with a family - primarily kids are now reguarly involved in key decsions e.g. what house to buy, what colour to paint the living room π etc.
I had great parents, who I suspect must have done this in some form - but I get a distinct impression that I do lots of things differently (e.g. always being home for bath time & bedtime) to may father. Now I have not been taught to do any of these things, it just seems to be the logical thing to do (okay I do have particualr values in this area and focus on it) - BUT why does this appear to be impacting a whole generation?
I just did this survey. It will be interesting to see the report which the survey says will be out in spring 2010.
Has anyone else done this survey?
