[Solved] Contact Ratios

Hello everyone, I've just been working some ratios out, i was last in court on the 17 Sep and I was awarded 4.5 days a fortnight. When you change this into a percentage it = 32% not much I know but a bit better than normal.

However the ex has been giving me extra days here and there(don't ask why, i don't know!). So by the end of next week after I've had my allotted contact I would of had him with me for 18 of the 34 days since court. So that's 18/34 which equals 53%!!!

I am amazed by this, its cost me nearly £3000 fighting my case with the ex not letting me see my son, then limiting my contact with him, for her now to be giving me more than she gets! Unbelievable.

I've just got to try and keep this level of contact up now without her realising what shes doing, so if it does have to go back to court that's now the status quo.

Sounds good to me... Was that the final hearing?

Perhaps she just wanted to make a dent in your pocket, or maybe it's more to do with her own needs and having more free time. Whatever the reason it works for you!

I assume the 4.5 days was minimum contact, there's normally nothing to stop you agreeing to more contact between yourselves. I'd keep a record of all contact - if this continues for a lengthy period, then you'd have more chance getting it written into a court order later on if she reduces contact again.
