Hi - I am hoping someone can help me with this as I am at a loss ...

I will be the first to hold my hands up and say that I have not been the geratest of dads in the passed ... and definitely not the greatest of partners ... but I have taken a good 2 years out of my life to get on the straight and narrow and finally am making people around me proud of me.

Understandably my ex left me a while ago and took my daughter, who I would die for! I have no qualms against my ex. In fact I hope she is happy and settled, but I do not know eher to start regarding finding my daughter again.

I want to make this as less messy as possible as my ex or my daughter don't deserve that, but my goal in life was to turn myself around and make myself a better person for my daughter .. now I have done that, I can not locate her.

My name is on the birth certificate.

Please please, someone help me. All I need in my life right now is to be re aquainted with my daughter .

Hi Boza76,

Im no expert and otthers will give better advice however heres my 2 cents.

You could apply to the court for a contact order using a C100. Not sure how you get the courts to find them but it can be done and others will advise.

Ask the courts to find her and serve on her. You will have to use the court local to your ex and child where ever they are living.

You then go through the courts to get contact agreed or once you find them she may be willing to go to mediation wish will surely be cheaper.

Others have done this with success.

I hope this gives you a little hope that you are not alone and there are things that can be done.

I am sure some of our good and great will contribute later when they see your post.

Regards,

Dave

Ordinarily I would suggest you go for mediation, but if you don't know where she is, that wont help you.

Have you tried to find her via family or even Facebook? Try that first and then go to mediation.

Yes you can ask the court to locate her using Form C4 and submit your C100 for contact altogether. When the court locate her your application will be forwarded to her local court.

As you are named on the birth cert you have Parental Responsibility. The fact that you have changed your yourself i
