I got a son, aged 18 months but the mother refuse to put my name on the birth certificate. My son has got my surname and he spend more than 50% with me.
What can I do the get registered as the father?
Hi , When you say your son has your last name is that because of being married to your sons Mother. Have you got parental responsibility ?
Hi ak57. No I'm not married to the mother as she is still married to her separated husband. We have never lived together either.
Hi Alan,
You can apply to court for this, it should be straight forward enough considering that he has your surname already and spends so much time with you. It would be an idea to make notes of how much you have him in case she later gets difficult about it.

Im confused!...If you've never been married and you are not on the birth certificate how does he have your surname?
When he mother registered the birth she put my surname as she was and still is married to her separated husband
