Do I contact the police?
To cut a long story short my ex-wife has applied for a residency order I’m currently contesting it. In the meantime my wife dropped the children off with me and this wasn’t on my contact date, but I love seeing my kids so no issues. What is an issue is she hasn’t returned to collect the kids now coming up to 11 day. Her solicitor is aware and I have requested what is happening with the children, I have since found out she is playing happy families with a new fella in a different town.
Do I inform the police she has abandoned the children?
thanks bill

YES. You must ba able to demonstate this completely irrisponsible behaviour to the authorities and to the court. You may need this in the future.

Hi Bill 🙂

I agree with Brian...you could contact Childrens Services too and report abandonment. If you are going for Residency then you could ask for an Emergency Hearing and get into Court quickly, within a couple of days. 🙂

Perhaps you should also contact CAFCASS and report the abandonment to them, it would substantiate your complaint. 🙂
