Hi Brian

I believe there are professional firms who act as a MacKenzies friend - you may be best googling to find out where they are, I'm not aware of anyone who has used the services on one of these companies.

Can you give more information on the problems you are up against?

Hi

A Mackenzie's friend is someone who supports you in court - have a read of yoji's guide to representing yourself at the top of the legal eagle section, as that will give you a lot of advice, and if you have specific legal questions, post on here or give the Coram's Children's Legal Centre a call - they offer free legal advice as long as you don't have a solicitor and are resident in England - there is a link to their site at the bottom of this website.

Hi Brian
I operate as a Mckenzie Friend in Northampton if you are still looking for one. I have a law degree and am currently a Masters student studying law at the University of Northampton and have experience of going into court to sort out contact and finances. My fee is £35 per hour.

Good Luck!
Melissa

Thank you for your kind response but things have moved on since I posted my request and I have now secured the services of a McKenzie Friend who lucky for me has the, right of audience, with a judge, one of a few lay people that do.

Kindest Regards,

Brian
