How long do I have to serve the court forms on my child's mother
Should I just take the forms to her solicitors

You can post the forms as long as you can prove postage, the post office can give proof or you can send recorded to either your ex or her solicitor.

I would do it as soon as possible.

If you really want proof for the courts that you had papers served you can use someone called a “Process Server”
A quick internet search will find them, they charge a fee of anywhere from £85+VAT to £150+VAT but you will be issued with a certificate and report to prove the papers are served.

I had to do this earlier this year due to enforcement application and court suggesting this was the appropriate way for these papers to be served.

The cheapest and easiest way is to serve the papers on her solicitor and ask for a receipt. This is what my son did.
