This is great news that he gets to see her, you've done well to see her so soon I had to wait 9 long months, this is totally normal an hour every 2 weeks as she is so young thats what I've just had and its now moving to 2 hours I hate to say it but this has worked well as she has had to get used to me and they gradually build up the contact as time goes by, my extended family still haven't met my daughter and she is 13 months old it's heart breaking.

I'd tell him not to worry about this non mol if the courts were that concerned they wouldn't of allowed contact in the first place so he has no need to stress about that her solicitor will know they wont be any evidence they just drag it out longer so they make more £££££.

It's going to be hard over not seeing her at xmas but the ball is rolling now and once this is sorted it will be sorted for the rest of her life so it's just a drop in the ocean in the general scheme of things.

He might have to wait a little while to get on the birth certificate as he has to be granted with Parental responsibility to enable that to happen, It doesn't realy mean that much to be honest contact is the most important thing I still havent got it yet like I say my girls 13 months.

The courts will seem like they are on the ex's side they are just been cautious but you will find as the case progresses they soon wise up so dont worry about that either'

Slim 🙂

I totally agree with Slim...small steps but you will get there and the little one is too young to remember that her daddy wasn't around for the first few months.... Once it's all over and contact is established it will become a distant memory for you and your family too,

Thank you Slim and Nannyjane, I know you are right, its just frustrating. I just want whats best for baby. My son has just phoned me to say that he is very excited about seeing her tomorrow. I do think an hour a week/fortnight would be a good amount of time for him at the moment, he has never had anything to do with babies until now.

My son is just concerned that his ex will have the baby christened and then there is no going back on the surname etc. He has been told that he might have to go with a double barrelled name which he isnt that pleased about but will accept.

Slim, that is such a shame you had to wait so long, argghhh what is wrong with these mothers, its so frustrating. Your family must be feeling how I do right now, but hopefully things will get better for us all. As you say, seeing your daughter/my son seeing his daughter are more important right now.

I think the only reason we have done so well is because my sons ex keeps doing stupid things which do not look in court and her solicitor to be honest is useless. Someone told me to go for Grandparents rights to see the baby, maybe your family could do that. I won't at the moment because I dont want to upset what is already in place, but who knows once the dust has settled, maybe I will!

Slim - how long have you had to use the Contact centres for? My sons solicitor was hoping it would be only a few weeks, but obviously I think nothing will change until his next court date. Does anyone know what happens if/when she cannot find any further evidence for the Non Mol? They have a date by which the evidence has to be at court but there isnt any so if they do not present any, what happens? What my husband thinks should happen, is that she should have to pay my sons solicitors bill for waiting his and her time, I know that can't happen but it would be nice if it could!

Thanks again guys, you keep me sane in this minefield of dare i say ([censored]!)
