I agree that whatever has happened to members of this forum is their own business. That is until they post this business on an open forum for all to see.

It's probably best not to post about your situation asking for honest advice on an open forum if you're not prepared to hear the answers.

Hi, i agree with that t shirt guy and mojo,

"as much as I can seee things from both sides here, I think at the moment we have someone asking for our help, and that's where we need to look, The circumstances as to why he needs us to talk with him may not sit well, but he is still here asking he has been open and honest about his situation to be fair"

And thats the problems i have encountered here myself, how we get ourselves into that certain pickle is our own doing and our own business, we simply come here and ask advice, we dont need to get a hard time as whats done is done.

as i have been mad busy with work i didnt see what grumpy mr twisty had replied but scene as they got deleted its probably best i didnt as arguing on here is not good for anybody.

cheers

But you'll comment anyway with what you think is a more subtle insult?

what nonesense, you have been given plenty of advice, repeatedly by multiple members and never take any, just repeat the behaviour that got you into the pickle. People volunteer their time to help people here and when they are repeating the same thing and you're doing the same thing claiming that you're not being helped because it doesnt fit with what you want is simply nonesense.

Hi,
.
Guys Can I ask if you want to continue your conversations about your moral understanding of this members post that you do it in private messages, we don't need this sort of talk from anyone, we don't like using it but we do have the option of a temp ban for any member or members that aren't showing respect towards forum users.
.
If you want to offer some solid support or advice to this member please do but be constructive, I wouldn imagine that the original poster know too well the situation he has come from and where he is now, he is asking for our help, if you can't offer him any becuase you feel it doesn't sit well with you then please move to the next thread and try and help someone else.
.

....isn't this a matter of the truth being a bitter pill sometimes? As Spottedtree points out, its probably not wise to post about your situation on open forum and ask for honesty/advice if youre not prepared to take the answers, both good and bad.

As Maxwell hasn't returned to his thread, might It not be better to hold off with further replies and wait and see what he has to say...his thread has been hijacked and I don't think he would find this in fighting helpful, it may well put him off returning!

The one thing that sets our forum apart from others is the fact that we work hard to be inclusive and non judgemental and I for one am very proud of that.

Maxwell sought help. I hope he returns to the site but I can understand if he doesn't after what I believe were condemnatory, critical and judgemental comments made by some members. It is possible to reply to a post in a direct, honest, and polite manner. If this is not possible because it is too emotive for the person replying, it may be best to refrain from unhelpful comment and as got-the-tshirt says, move to another thread.

After reading Maxwell's post again, he does not say what is making him depressed and yet assumptions have been made as to the cause but we don't know in reality, do we?

We don't know anything about the biological father, the situation or if there are any arrangements / agreements in place between them all. It may have been an amicable decision which they all arrived at. We do not know !

The most important of all is that amidst all of this, is a baby. I question whether we have done as much to help this young man as we could have in light of the fact he is parenting a baby. To improve his skills would obviously benefit the child. Have we let him and the baby down because a few chose to take the moral high ground?

Albeit I have written this message, it is my sincere wish that this thread take a more restrained course or be locked.
